Challenge
Poor speech clarity in the main hall and blind spots across a growing campus perimeter.
Solution
Line-array redesign with acoustic treatment, plus 310 IP cameras on redundant NVR storage.
The 1,400-seat hall had been re-clad in hard surfaces, and intelligibility collapsed past the middle rows. Separately, campus expansion had outgrown an ageing analogue camera estate.
We modelled the hall, added absorptive treatment where it mattered, and installed a line array tuned to a measured STI target. The security programme laid a fibre backbone and 310 IP cameras onto redundant NVR storage with a monitored command room.
Both programmes were phased across three terms so lectures and campus operations continued uninterrupted.
“The back row hears the same lecture as the front row now.”
